Flying Lotus - See Thru To U feat. Erykah Badu

Earth-people! The Flying Lotus x Erykah Badu collaboration that J. Rocc previewed on BBC Radio 1 last week has landed, in full CD-quality glory. The only perceptible difference between this finalized joint and the one J. Rocc teased (apparently a rough demo, as FlyLo clarified via twitter) is in the mix; the temple drums and echoey highs on the final product seem to flying through a dreamier space–giving the whole track a jazzier, more atmospheric feel that demands headphones more than speaker-stacks (still, why do I feel confident we’ll see some 4×4 remixes of this joint sooner rather than later?). If anything, however, the finished artwork gives even more room and power to Badu’s vocal, a melody we won’t soon forget.  Before the quiet comes, apparently, comes a whole lot of sublime noise.
