Winter inter

Finally, after 3 late night art sessions with 3 awesome and talented friends of mine, we finally got the album artwork to completion. About 6 months ago, I had a crazy vision to do a complete DIY project for our band’s EP artwork. I had no clue how it would turn out, who was going to help me, or what the heck I was going to do at all. Slowly but surely I kept meditating on the design and doing research until the concept you see here was designed. Awhile back I posted a teaser photo of the artwork in Adobe Illustrator, and I’m really happy how the end product turned out. There is amazing detail in the layers of spray paint with specks of gold flickering as you tilt it in the light, and the deepness of the dark color with subtle highlights peeking through the dark splatters of spray paint. There were a few misprints but that was bound to happen due to screen printing and its natural imperfections, but we embraced them as part of the artwork process (and that it’ll probably trip people out). We are finalizing the mixing/mastering process with Mike at Panland Studios right now. The only items left to produce are the liner notes, take a promo photo, and the CD face. Feels pretty damn good to accomplish such a big feat, but this is only the first step.
