Yo got the final masters for #EqualMovingParts!!! Tapes are underway being duplicated and a tickers are being printed at this moment. Can’t wait to share this album with you guys!

Here is a quick test listening session in the car of the intro track ‘That Which Stays Still is Real’. My muse and girlfriend @little_sistr titled this track. It’s about the things in life we come to realize that will forever stay true. Like a strong love or friendship. You may age and change your looks but that unimaginable stillness is what we recognize is real. We exist in the #Holyfield.

Just want y’all to get a little snippet before the album #equalmovingparts drops!

Hope you enjoy and can make it out to our release show on July 17th with @stratford_ct #keatscollective #holyfieldrecords @shipinthewoods.

The track is titled ‘Gfunkstronaut’ and features @oli_bata on the Rhodes with myself and #FrancisRochino on guitar. Had lots of fun at recording sessions with these guys. Stay tuned for more deets and beats!

The Era of Digital and Mobile Music

I’d rather create a solution than complain. I think this situation with Soundcloud comes to show that we have to own our own music. The minute you let someone else own or release your music, it is out of your control. Host it on your own website, domain name, publishing/licensing company, etc.

If we learn how to own and distribute our own music and even create our own avenues to release other likeminded artists music (but not own it), I think it would be a better platform for the future of independent music than another Myspace, Facebook band page, or Soundcloud even.

Anyone have opinions on this?
